Kirstie Alley, Actress Dies at 71

Well this is sad news she was 71 and after decades of weight issues she's now passed on. Kirstie Alley, the Emmy-winning comic actress known for her turns on CheersVeronica’s Closet and the three Look Who’s Talking films, has died. Again she was 71.

Alley died after a battle with cancer “only recently discovered,” her children True and Lillie Parker announced Monday, describing their mom as “incredible, fierce and loving.” No other details were immediately available.

“She was surrounded by her closest family and fought with great strength, leaving us with a certainty of her never-ending joy of living and whatever adventures lie ahead,” they said in a statement. “As iconic as she was on screen, she was an even more amazing mother and grandmother.”

They added that they were “grateful for the incredible team of doctors and nurses at Moffitt Cancer Center” in Tampa, Florida.

The bawdy Alley collected eight Emmy nominations during her career, the first five for playing bar manager Rebecca Howe on NBC’s Cheers after effectively taking over in 1987 for Shelley Long, who had quit the Boston-based series. She won in 1991 and worked on the show through its 1993 conclusion.

She then starred on NBC’s Veronica’s Closet as Veronica “Ronnie” Chase, the head of a lingerie company in New York City. Created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, the show aired for three seasons, from September 1997 to December 2000.

She played the accountant Mollie Jensen, a single mother who has a baby (whose thoughts were voiced by Bruce Willis), opposite John Travolta in the hit comedy Look Who’s Talking (1989), directed by Amy Heckerling, then returned for sequels in 1990 and 1993.

The green-eyed, husky-voiced Alley landed a second Emmy in 1994 for her turn as a woman who insists on caring for her autistic son alone in the telefilm David’s Mother, and she was nominated again in 1997 for her performance in the Mario Puzo miniseries The Last Don.

In 2005, she played a fictionalized version of herself on Showtime’s Fat Actress (she was a spokesperson for Jenny Craig and had weight issues during her life.)

More recently, she starred on TV Land’s Kirstie in 2013-14 as a Broadway diva and was on the 2016 Fox show Scream Queens.

“‘Ignorance is bliss’ applies to me,” she said in 2013. “I want to try things that I haven’t done. Anything that sounds exciting, I’m in.”

Alley was born on Jan. 12, 1951, in Wichita, Kansas. Her father, Robert, owned a lumber company, and her mother, Lillian, was a homemaker. (In 1981, a car accident involving a drunk driver killed her mom and left her dad seriously injured.)

As a kid, she “was either on the swings brooding, ‘Why do people blink? Where is God? Why am I here?’ — I was very esoteric, I guess — or funny-crazy-wild,” she said. “There wasn’t a lot of in-between. I’m still that way, I guess. Hot or cold. I’m always contemplating the universe.”

She graduated from Wichita Southeast High School in 1969, married her high school sweetheart, Bob Alley, in 1970 and spent two years at Kansas State University before coming to Los Angeles, where she appeared as a contestant on Match Game in 1979, winning about $6,000.

She played a Vulcan Starfleet officer in her first film, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn (1982), was a regular on the ABC series Masquerade in 1983-84 and portrayed a Playboy Club-era Gloria Steinem in the 1985 telefilm A Bunny’s Tale.

She then worked on the acclaimed miniseries North and South, Books 1 and 2 in 1985 and ’86 and starred opposite Mark Harmon in Summer School (1987).

When Long departed, the Cheers producers decided to return to the show’s original concept, where Sam Malone (Ted Danson) works for a woman, director and series co-creator James Burrows recalled in a 2003 interview.

“We told Jeff Greenberg our casting director we wanted a beautiful, tough-looking woman. And swear to God, the first words out of his mouth was, ‘Kirstie Alley,'” he said.

Her Rebecca starts out managing the bar for the corporation that bought Cheers from Sam, and she has lots of failed relationships with rich guys before she marries a plumber.

In 2010, she was the subject of the A&E reality series Kirstie Alley’s Big Life. The show chronicled her battle with weight and the launch of her weight-loss company.

Alley’s film résumé also included Shoot to Kill (1988), Madhouse (1990), Sibling Rivalry (1990), John Carpenter’s Village of the Damned (1995), Woody Allen’s Deconstructing Harry (1997), For Richer or Poorer (1997) and Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999).

She competed twice on Dancing With the Stars and this year was on The Masked Singer as Baby Mammoth.

She wrote a memoir, The Art of Men (I Prefer Mine al Dente), published in 2012. She revealed that she fell in love with Patrick Swayze on North and South and with Travolta on the first Look Who’s Talking film even though she was married to her second husband, actor Parker Stevenson.

They were married from 1983 until their 1997 divorce and adopted True and Lillie. Survivors also include her grandson, Waylon.

In that 2013 interview, Alley said that “I would really like to win an Academy Award just to astonish myself. I don’t think I’ve ever played the role where I would say, ‘Oh, my God, you’re an amazing actress!’ That would prove that this wasn’t all just a joke.”

Italian Fighter Pilot Intercepted A UFO Here’s The Evidence

After completing a reconnaissance operation, the Italian Air Force pilot was flying back to the base in Treviso when an unidentified flying object crossed Italian airspace without being detected. The military aircraft interceptor was then ordered by the Istrana radar center to intercept and identify the invader. On June 18, 1979, at 11:30 a.m., pilot Giancarlo Cecconi was flying his G-91R fighter with G-91R group 14 of the Air Force’s 2nd Fighter Wing back to Treviso AFB, Italy, after completing a reconnaissance mission.

Pilot Tec. Giancarlo Cacconni of the Italian Air Force attempted valiantly to gather proof when he intercepted an unidentified object over Northern Italy by capturing pictures of the extraterrestrial ship with his camera mounted on his G.91 fighter jet.

Captain Giancarlo Cecconi was an Italian Air Force pilot, born in Caserta, Italy on April 12, 1950 and died in Rome, Italy June 27, 2014. The incident is significant thanks to the camera footage, radar, and visual evidence from several witnesses, including a highly respected fighter pilot.

Before I was told to intercept a UFO, it was a typical day. As a fighter pilot for the Italian Air Force, it was my responsibility to impose radar coverage in and around northern Italy’s restricted zones. I was instructed to start the interception procedures for a UFO that had entered a forbidden region in the middle of my operation. I felt up to the challenge as a young Air Force lieutenant with only four years of military service, and I replied quickly.

An photograph taken by the Italian fighter pilot who intercepted the UFO showed a little, sparkling object in the backdrop. One of several photos purportedly shot over the previous 50 years is this one. The encounter is detailed in a new book by UFO researcher Antonio Urzi called “Gli Appunti di Giancarlo” or “The Notes of Giancarlo.” He stated: Cecconi drew closer as soon as he made contact with the item to try to spot the burglar visually. Although he was unsuccessful, his jet experienced significant electromagnetic stress, making control nearly impossible.

The pilot had to conduct a climb at maximum capacity before pulling out of a power drop. The following weeks saw other incidents of a similar nature.
According to Cecconi, “the invader was going at a very high speed, as if it were a space rocket, and had no wings or identification markers.” In order to find out the location of the mysterious item, the pilot radioed Istrana.

There is an amazing picture of the UFO. To believe it, you must see it.
Cecconi himself as well as the radar operators at the Istrana control center have publicly confirmed the incident. And that’s evidence, backed up by Witnesses. Despite the mystery surrounding this case, there are a number of theories that might explain what occurred.

One the one hand, it is conceivable that the occurrence was only misinterpreted by air traffic control, pilot mistake, or was merely an optical illusion brought on by sunshine reflecting off an airplane’s tail.

Exploding Leftist heads continue to pop as Elon Musk's "Twitter Files" continue to Drop!

I love this friends so as the world turns or tweets... Whichever fits your fancy. All I know is that these leftist heads keep exploding like a nuke over Elon Musk's release of 'The Twitter Files,' journalist Matt Taibbi attacked: 'Selling your soul for the richest white nationalist on Earth'

What a clown show this Matt Taibbi guy... Musk, a self-described free-speech absolutist, retweeted the Twitter Files Friday night, releasing a series of internal communications released to and reported on by the independent journalist Matt Taibbi, who called the internal documents a “Frankenstinian tale of a human-built mechanism grown out the control of its designer.”

The documents show Twitter staff took “extraordinary steps” to suppress an October 2020 New York Post story that claimed unseemly ties between then Vice President Joe Biden and a Ukrainian energy company that paid money to Biden’s son Hunter and which former President Donald Trump took as an October Surprise to falsely allege Biden had acted corruptly.

Twitter officials, the documents show, debated whether or not to suppress the story, which claimed to be sourced to a laptop once owned by Hunter Biden, but which they feared could be the result of Russian hacking.

Even without evidence the information came from the Russians—or any other third party Twitter seemed, according to the documents, to decide to suppress the story under its Hacking Policy (no evidence has ever emerged that the information was hacked).

Twitter ultimately suppressed the story and accounts trying to share it a decision done without the knowledge of former CEO Jack Dorsey, who later admitted the suppression was a mistake.

Taibbi also alleges “celebrities and unknowns alike” could have their accounts removed or reviewed at the request of a political party, though the system “wasn’t balanced” between the parties but rather determined by contacts with staff, which he said leaned heavily to the left, providing more room for Democrats to “complain.”

It’s Musk’s latest plea to conservatives, one month after he said he would reinstate Trump’s account which was suspended after the January 6 insurrection (although the former president has sworn off a return to the site) and after he urged his followers to vote for Republicans in the midterm elections.

Musk had teased the release of the documents pertaining to “free speech suppression” throughout the week, tweeting on Friday that Twitter would publish “what really happened with the Hunter Biden story suppression by Twitter.”

By the end of 2020, Dorsey had admitted to members of Congress that Twitter’s suppression of the story was a mistake and that Twitter had since updated its policies, after news of an alleged suppression was the makings of anti-conservative bias within the platform. Earlier this week, Twitter’s former head of trust and safety Yoel Roth said the decision to suppress the story was the result of a fear that the story was the result of a hack, although he added he personally disagreed with the decision.

Taibbi suggests in his thread that there is “no evidence, that I’ve seen, of any government involvement in the laptop story”—undermining a Republican conspiracy that the FBI was involved in the move to suppress the reporting. Nonetheless, Musk tweeted separately, with no supporting evidence, that Twitter acted “under orders from the government to suppress free speech, with no judicial review.”

Musk has also faced scorn from former Twitter officials, including Roth, who criticized Musk’s rollout of Twitter Blue, Musk’s program to allow people to purchase verification checkmarks without going through any vetting process. That rollout led to multiple parody accounts spreading disinformation about celebrities, athletes, politicians and brands, including Lockheed Martin, Eli Lilly and Nintendo.

Before he completed his $44 billion purchase of the social media giant, Musk had pledged to advertisers he would prevent the platform from plummeting into a “hellscape” where anything can be said “without consequences,” although he has since come under fire, again, for loosening its free speech policies.

That plea, however, did not prevent advertisers from leaving. After a series of high-profile antisemitic posts, primarily from rapper Kanye West, Musk suspended the controversial rapper’s account.

Hours after the Twitter Files were released, Musk tweeted, “Tune in for Episode 2 of the Twitter Files tomorrow,” although he did not specify what the content of those files would include.

But wait there is more! Don't forget how Hollyweird is handling this! LMAO! Our #MeToo stealing AMIGA!

The one who used to call Tony Danza the boss but now thinks she rules the planet and we all need to do what she says "Alyssa Milano" yes she still on her B/S, now she says she needs therapy over Twitter even 'The View' hosts find her RIDICULOUS... On “The Rubin Report” Wednesday, BlazeTV host Dave Rubin shared a clip of Alyssa Milano telling the hosts on “The View”

why she has "spent many, many days with [her] therapist" talking about Twitter. "Never ever read the comments [on Twitter]," co-host Sunny Hostin advises at the beginning of the clip.

"I always read the comments. Who doesn't read the comments?" Milano countered. "Do you turn the comments off?" she asked co-host Joy Behar. "No," Behar answered. "I just don't read them. I'm not interested unless it's somebody that I respect."

"I left [Twitter]," co-host Whoopi Goldberg chimed in. "Listen, I've spent many, many days with my therapist talking about Twitter and social media," Milano said.

"Because of what some anonymous person said to you?" Hostin asked. "Yeah, it's hurtful," Milano answered.

"Somebody who doesn't know you, hasn't met you, doesn't know your family, doesn't know you, doesn't know anything about you?" Goldberg asked.

The Twitter Files, a 37-part Twitter thread of internal documents that shows some of the internal debate and reasoning behind the social media platform’s controversial “free speech suppression” around a bombshell 2020 report on President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden though despite Musk’s hype, it doesn’t deliver any particular shocking new details.

We all know the truth about what happened... Trump was innocent, the media including Social Media and BIG TECH all got together to suppress information in order to help with the real "BIG LIE" as Nasty Nancy Pelosi would say.

Alex Jones tries to get Kanye West to clarify that he doesn't actually love Hitler

Let's give Alex Jones credit here he tries hard to get Kanye West to clarify that he doesn't actually love Hitler ... But as it stands Ye: "There's a lot of things that I love about Hitler. A lot of things." Seems to have really now just well... Gone CRAY CRAY! ? Well that's what it seems to really be happening to YE "IMO" ... Look folks we're NOT anti-Semite here and we don't hate JEWS, and are NOT Holocaust deniers.

We all know that it indeed happen, and we all know Hitler was an awful evil person or Monster. You pick. So this move by YE is as unmoving to us as it is for anyone watching him have yet another one of his meltdowns. Well maybe what "YE" needs is less media attention and more therapy.

To Donald Trump STOP letting him come over to "talk" cause honestly I think Kanye is now just Trolling Trump at this point.

Elon Musk jaw dropping admission that "Twitter" Has ‘Interfered in Elections’

Elon Musk jaw dropping admission that "Twitter" Has ‘Interfered in Elections’ well we all suspected it. Now it's official! As Elon the new owner of Twitter has claimed in a recent tweet that Twitter has “failed in trust & safety for a very long time and has interfered in elections.” Musk has promised to release internal documents to restore public trust in the company.

The comment was sparked after Reuters tweeted an interview with the extreme leftist former head of Trust and Safety, Yoel Roth, in which he stated that the platform has not been made “safer” under Musk. Why do they hate the truth, and American people?

One user responded to the Reuters tweet stating that Twitter has “shown itself to not be safe for the past 10 years and has lost users’ trust.” To which Musk responded: “Exactly. The obvious reality, as long-time users know, is that Twitter has failed in trust & safety for a very long time and has interfered in elections.” Musk further promised that “Twitter 2.0” will be “far more effective, transparent, and even-handed.”

Twitter has long been accused of interfering in elections, particularly those in the United States. The platform famously banned the New York Post for 16 days following the publication of a story relating to the laptop of Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden.

Former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey claimed the company reinstated the New York Post’s account “almost immediately,” despite the fact the account was suspended for 16 days after reporting on the contents of Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop from hell.

After a short-lived hiatus from the app, Dorsey took to Twitter to take responsibility for instances in which Twitter “went too far.”

“I have tried taking a break from Twitter recently, but I must say: the company has always tried to do its best given the information it had. Every decision we made was ultimately my responsibility*,” Dorsey tweeted. “In the cases we were wrong or went too far, we admitted it and worked to correct.”

Breitbart News has also reported that many celebrities and public figures have been banned from Twitter for posting content the platform claims could “interfere” in elections, such as conservative actor James Woods. Breitbart News reported:

Conservative actor James Woods was locked out of Twitter on Friday for posting a two-month-old meme that Jack Dorsey’s social media platform believes “could impact an election.”

According to screenshots provided by Woods’ associate Sara Miller, Twitter asked the 71-year-old actor to delete the image as it contained “text and imagery that has the potential to be misleading in a way that could impact an election.”

The meme in question showed three young men representing stereotypical male feminists saying they planned to abstain in the upcoming midterm elections so women could decide the outcome of the election.

“You are a coward, @jack. There is no free speech for Conservatives on @Twitter,” Woods said in a statement about the account lock.

In a viral tweet earlier this month, Woods warned that the banning of Infowars personality Alex Jones was the beginning of a “slippery slope” towards “real fascism.” Twitter has a long, detailed history of censoring and suppressing conservative voices.

During the 2020 election, Twitter also censored tweets from former President Donald Trump before eventually blacklisting him. Breitbart News reported:

Twitter censored another post from President Donald Trump, while votes were still coming in across multiple states on election night 2020.

Trump posted: “We are up BIG, but they are trying to STEAL the election. We will never let them do it. Votes cannot be cast after the Polls are closed!”

Twitter is now hiding the tweet behind a warning label saying “some or all of the content shared in the Tweet is disputed and might be misleading about an election or other civic process.”

The platform also added a link encouraging users to “learn about US 2020 election security efforts.”

This is the second time in the space of two days that Twitter has censored a tweet from the President.

The World mourns as Jim Carrey Says He’s ‘Leaving Twitter’

Seriously does Jim Carrey think we care about him enough to care he's leaving Twitter? In his past he's always come off as a bit well not to sharp outside of being a funny guy who was a decent actor his box office glory days are FAR behind him. Folks it's bad enough when the prequel to Dumb & Dumber was better than his sequel. You know the one which he, and Daniels were not in?

I don't know what is about Hollyweird that makes people like Jim Carrey into the Narcissist he's become where him announcing he's leaving Twitter suddenly he thinks will do what? The left wanted Electric Cars, Man in Space, and a quicker trip to Mars not just the Moon! And he's given us all these things. The left loved him until he endorsed Trump and Bought Twitter.

So according to the liberals he can't think for himself, and endorse who he wants? What free country is this? So Jim Scary Carrey is the latest celebrity to declare that he is leaving Twitter in the wake of Tesla CEO Elon Musk completing his takeover of the platform.  A week, after Musk reinstated former President Donald Trump’s account to Twitter, White Stripes vocalist, Socialist and guitarist Jack White deleted his account, calling the Tesla CEO “absolutely disgusting” and claiming that he only restored Trump’s account because he hates paying taxes.

Sorry we also don't care about the "White Stripes" and some dude named "Jack White" in my world he's a nobody. Another nobody some one who claims to be a music producer called "Trent Reznor" who I've never heard off but who's ego made him also declare that he needed to delete his Twitter account for his “mental health” and that Musk’s takeover of the social media platform is an “embarrassment.”
 So is your life MrReznor.

Last month, Shonda Rhimes? ("WHO"?), the Hollywood power producer behind television mainstays including Grey’s AnatomyScandal and, How to Get Away with Murderclaimed she would be leaving Twitter following Musk’s takeover, although she has yet to do so.  Well who care that's stuff I don't care for or watch.

Other
whining celebrities who have vowed to leave Twitter following Musk’s October 28 takeover include Whoopi Goldberg, model Gigi Hadid, actress Debra Messing, actor Alex Winter, and producers Ken Olin and Brian Koppelman, among others.

Well...

Also the website as you may have noticed has gone from GoDaddy to BlogSpot due to mony reason as GoDaddy was costing to much money on SSL and hosting. BlogSpot I get the same features for free! So this switchover was a long time coming but it needed to happen. So I hope you all enjoy the new site.

Now due to my health I've been off air and I'm right now current'y trying to get disability coverage to help with my health. As you mostly all know this show doesn't really bring in much cash to none these days.

This is why I opened up Angel Espino to help scrape by. I'm still hurting so please show me some love and make yourself a Patreon or show me some direct love over on PayPal.

I'd like to thank the few who have joined so far, and would beg more friends online to help with a small monthly Patreon support.

As for the show bookmark it as it shall return for more episodes inside my head where I shall be taking on topics which as you know range from Political, Paranormal, Conspiracy, Tech, Entertainment, Sports, and things I like to kick around in the inner darkness known as my brain.

2023 looks to be an interesting year and 2024 is right around the corner, annd we all know what that means!!! Election '24 are you ready? I know I am.

The Kraken is about to be released! Now I know we didn't have a "RED TSUNAMI" as some called it but I never expected that. We got the house next we take the Presidency back. Best news tho is Nancy Pelosi will be gone by 2024 so let's hope we have a good time in '24.

Anyway look a lot is coming our way and while I haven't done a show in a while god willing I'm alive past this years end. I turn 45 on DEC 30th after all and well I should be much more active in 2023 and 2024 if I make it out alive. lol Wish me well.

But getting my disability claim taken care off first is more important as it will help with my health which is in bad shape still. So wish me well, and see you all in 2023.

From you're local friendly neighborhood Jackal.

Maricopa County Chairman Transferred to Undisclosed Location After Death Threats

A top Maricopa County election official has been moved to an undisclosed location over safety concerns following the midterm elections. Maricopa County Supervisor Bill Gates confirmed on Sunday that he was transferred and provided a security detail after workers at the Arizona county elections office faced months of escalating death threats that made it increasingly difficult to do their job.

Gates, a Republican, has faced particular backlash as a vocal critic of false election claims spurred by Trump’s election denialism in 2020. Gates’ transfer comes on the heels of a particularly volatile gubernatorial race in the swing state, in which Trump-backed MAGA candidate Kari Lake lost to Democratic challenger Katie Hobbs.

So far, Lake has refused to concede the race. On Monday, hours before she was projected to lose, an attorney for Lake’s campaign allegedly called Maricopa County to warn the office of “a lot of irate people out there” that their campaign “can’t control,” according to The Washington Post

And just last week, a dozen people were seen hurling insults at Gates during a meeting of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors—reportedly at the behest of Lake, according to Fox10.

McCarthy Vows to Oust Schiff, Swalwell, Omar From Committees as Speaker

The House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy again vowed to oust high-profile Democrats Adam Schiff, Eric Swalwell, and Ilhan Omar from key committees if he becomes speaker. “I’ll keep that promise,” McCarthy told Fox News on Sunday.

Schiff, who is the chair of the House Intelligence Committee which in itself is hilarious to say since well Adam Schiff has no "
Intelligence" in his small pea sized brain. But he just accused McCarthy of pandering to the right wing of his party. “I suspect he will do whatever Marjorie Taylor Greene wants him to do,”

Schiff said on ABC's This Week. “He is a very weak leader of his conference, meaning that he will adhere to the wishes of the lowest common denominator. And if that lowest common denominator wants to remove people
from committees, that’s what they’ll do.”

McCarthy has said Swalwell should be off the Intelligence Committee because of his ties to a woman who was later unmasked as an alleged Chinese spy, and that Omar should lose her post on the Foreign Affairs Committee because of what he called “her anti-Semitic comments.”

Boy I do hope that
Kevin McCarthy goes in hard on these people, and delivers what he's promised

As Elon Musk restructures Twitter teases possible reinstatement of Donald Trump

As Elon Musk restructures Twitter teases possible reinstatement of Donald Trump
, Quickly the village idiot known to the world as "Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez" or "AOC" for short issued a public reminder of the violent insurrection incited by the former president during his last days on the platform.

"Idk man, last time he was here this platform was used to incite an insurrection, multiple people died, the Vice President of the United States was nearly assassinated, and hundreds were injured but I guess that's not enough for you to answer the question. Twitter poll it is," Ocasio-Cortez said in a tweeted response

Musk, whose takeover of the company has prompted hundreds of employee departures and resignations, issued a poll on Friday asking users whether they want the former president back on the social media platform.

The New York Democrat added that the House January 6th Committee has "extensively covered how Trump's use of Twitter played a critical role in the violence of that day."

She added video footage of former Vice President Mike Pence being escorted to an alternative location within the Capitol as rioters fought police and infiltrated the Capitol.

"Review their extensive work & ask yourself why a billionaire is toying w/ bringing back the person responsible for this," Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. Well I don't know what Elon would answer but all I can say if Terrorists for over in the middle east and domestic like you AOC can keep their twitter accounts than the Trump account should be un banned.

There is no real proof he did nothing wrong, and we all know this, and if he chooses to come back would be his choice. He afterall is on Truth Social more now anyway which is good.

Trump has been permanently suspended from Twitter since January 8, 2021, following the Capitol siege by Trump supporters.

Some 948 people have been criminally charged in the insurrection, and 450 have pleaded guilty. Several rioters and their attorneys blamed Trump for their involvement, saying the former president "asked us to go to the march on the 6th."

From the report out of the 948 people charged claimed that from Trump, and nobody knows these names. This is more leftist made up b/s..... IF NOT Name the names "AOC".

Donald Trump Live | Trump Furious That War Crimes Expert Jack Smith Will Head Jan 6 Probe | US News

US Attorney-General Merrick Garland has named Jack Smith, a war crimes prosecutor, to serve as special counsel to oversee Justice Department investigations related to Donald Trump including the former president’s handling of sensitive documents and efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

Garland’s announcement came three days after Trump, a Republican, announced he would run for president again in 2024. Garland said Trump’s candidacy, as well as Democratic President Joe Biden’s stated intention to run for re-election, made the appointment of a special counsel necessary.

The pace of the investigations will not pause or flag under my watch,” Smith said in a statement. “I will exercise independent judgment and will move the investigations forward expeditiously and thoroughly to whatever outcome the facts and the law dictate.”

WAKANDA FOREVER OPENS BIG! But was it worth the hype?

Ok so we're all caught up here friends!

Wakanda is a fictional country appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Wakanda has been depicted as being in East Africa. It is located in sub-Saharan Africa, and is home to the superhero "Black Panther". Wakanda first appeared in Fantastic Four #52, and was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

Now with that said the first movie was ok but nothing special, and this was my feeling pre the passing of it's star actor "Chadwick Boseman" who played the role of T'Challa aka the "Black Panther" himselff.

The overall box office last weekend was $209 million, with 87% of that coming from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s $181 million opening. This weekend will be dominated once again by the MCU film, which has a good shot of topping the charts until Avatar: The Way of Water opens on December 16. The main question is how well it will hold and how much it can prop up an otherwise weak box office, which saw no other film even make it to the double digits last weekend, an unfortunate stat that is likely to be repeated this weekend (in better times, the second weekend on the first Black Panther had three other films above $10 million). This weekend’s overall box office has a chance of staying above $100 million, but that would require a “better than the usual blockbuster” hold from Wakanda Forever. A 60% drop for the sequel would put it at $72.5 million this weekend, which is reasonable to expect, and in that scenario the rest of the box office would have a hard time lifting the overall numbers up into the nine digits, barring any surprises from the newcomers.

The hope is that Wakanda Forever holds much better than this year’s previous MCU films Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder (which both dropped 67-68% in their second weekends), even if it doesn’t prove as durable as the first Black Panther (down just 45% in its second weekend, which is good for any film and especially great for such a huge opener, ranking as the second best weekend two hold ever for a film to open above $150 million and the fourth best grossing second weekend). A drop of 53% would be enough to give Wakanda Forever the tenth best second weekend gross ever with roughly $85.2 million, but as great as that would be, it seems like a long shot.

If it drops akin to recent MCU offerings, that would be a roughly $60 million second weekend which feels like a worst case scenario, but that would still give it a 10 day cume in the high $200s which is a great spread, even if it’s not enough to save the overall box office. As of Tuesday Wakanda Forever has a gross of $205 million, and there’s a small chance that by Sunday it will become the year’s sixth film to cross $300 million, which would make it the fastest to do so of any film this year (so far Top Gun: Maverick holds that claim with 11 days) and tie it for 12th on the all time fastest list (the first Black Panther is tied for fifth, getting there in just eight days). It’s more likely that it will get there during the week, but it could tie Maverick for the year’s fastest or tie for second along with Multiverse of Madness if it gets there in 12 days.

Joining the fray this weekend are some smaller titles, though don’t expect much from the counter-programming. Searchlight has the most potential with their fine dining genre film The Menu, which marks the widest release ever for the label with 3,100 theaters. The film stars Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult as diners at a high end restaurant where the chef (Ralph Fiennes) has something more sinister in mind than simply feeding his customers. A comp here is Searchlight’s 2019 release Ready or Not, which opened to $8 million and stretched out to $28.7 million.

Critics love The Menu (91% on Rotten Tomatoes) and the other genre fare in theaters has largely run its course, so it could have a solid run. Less is expected from She Said, which Universal is bringing to 2000 theaters. The film stars Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan as New York Times journalists Megan Twohey and Jodi Kantor who reported on Harvey Weinstein’s history of sexual misconduct. An optimistic comp here would be Bombshell, which grossed $5.1 million in its first wide weekend (from 1,480 theaters) and went on to gross $31.8 million, but that had more star power and perhaps a wider appeal in its content and lighter tone. Reviews are great (86% on Rotten Tomatoes) and there is some awards buzz particularly for its leads, so hopefully this $32 million budgeted drama can find its audience.

Also in the mix is the five theater New York and Los Angeles launch of Luca Guadagnino’s romantic cannibal thriller Bones and All. The United Artists Releasing film stars Taylor RussellTimothée Chalamet, and Mark Rylance and expands next Wednesday ahead of Thanksgiving.

First look at Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones 5

While we still have no trailer or poster for the upcoming fifth Indiana Jones movie. A teaser was shown to guests at the D23 Expo a few months ago, but it was never released in theaters or online. Heck, the movie doesn’t even official title yet, as far as anyone outside Lucasfilm knows.

The movie is just a few months away, so expect to start seeing and hearing a lot more about it. The movie which was directed by James Mangold and written by Mangold with Jez and John-Henry Butterworth. (This marks the first Indiana Jones that wasn’t directed by Steven Spielberg or written in part by George Lucas.)

Empire Magazine
is promising a big cover story in their latest issue, and while they’ve yet to reveal any of its contents, they did share the magazine’s cover which features our first full look at Ford back in costume as the now 80-year-old Indiana Jones.

Ford last played Indiana Jones back in 2008, in the poorly-received Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. A fifth film was mentioned way back then, but only came together in the last several years, after Spielberg finally decided he did not want to direct the movie and Mangold was brought on to replace him.

(Spielberg remains a producer on the project.)

Not much is known about the film’s story yet, although at least part is set in 1960s New York City, as evidenced by the other cover of this month’s Empire, which is a painting of Indy in Manhattan, looking out at the Chrysler Building.

Booby Trap arena in Miami? LMAO!

Why is Miami always involved in B/S like this FTX B/S? LOL OK So if you have been up to date on the rundown on the whole FTX scandal well like normal Miami is involved, and this saga gets wild... But the end result's are well hilarious to say the least. This is so funny that I nearly had laughed myself into a run to the ICU... Check this out so the company "FTX" had bought name rights to the arena where the Miami Heat our NBA team call home, and now with the company FTX involved in a a major scandal involving BILLIONS! Well check this...

Folks picture this in your mind... OK it's the year new NBA season and in  2023, and you're going to watch your hometown basketball team, the Miami Heat, play at their beloved downtown arena: the BangBros Center.

Though it feels more fit for a comedy sketch than real life, the prospect of a BangBros Center is not that far-fetched in Miami following the downfall and bankruptcy of FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried's cryptocurrency empire.

On Friday, Miami-Dade County and the Miami Heat swiftly pulled out (pun intended) of their partnership with FTX, the erstwhile namesake of the downtown arena owned by the county.

So typical that Miami would even consider such a thing but knowing how crazy the times are that and how fashion is flipped out these days also it shouldn't shock me but as the unfolding saga has grown more absurd by the day. On November 12, popular porn site BangBros announced that it would be re-submitting a $10 million offer for the naming rights to the arena after its 2019 offer to rename it "Bang Bros Center (BBC)" failed to materialize.

A company spokesperson
recently told New Times
They hope the county "seriously" reconsiders their offer in light of recent events".

Joining the growing chorus of erotic bids for the arena's naming rights, the owner of Booby Trap South Florida confirmed to New Times that they too have made an offer with Miami-Dade County to stick their name on the arena that sits along Biscayne Bay.

Owner Gregg Berger wrote via Instagram DM that Booby Trap, which owns a handful of strip clubs across Miami and Pompano Beach, made a $5 million offer to rename the venue "Booby Trap Arena."

"We are a staple in Miami," he wrote, "and we think the fans would be behind the idea."

Previously known as American Airlines Arena, the facility was renamed FTX Arena in June 2021 per a 19-year, $135-million sponsorship agreement between the Bahamas-based crypto exchange company and Miami-Dade County.

In a joint statement released on November 11, county mayor Daniella Levine Cava and the Miami Heat called the news regarding FTX's collapse “extremely disappointing.”

“Miami-Dade County and the Miami Heat are immediately taking action to terminate our business relationships with FTX, and we will be working together to find a new naming rights partner for the arena," the statement reads.

The naming rights contract between the county and FTX includes penalties of $16.5 million – plus the costs to remove the signage and decorations – in the event the company is unable to fulfill the contract.

The $32 billion empire known as FTX was launched in 2017 by Bankman-Fried, a 30 year old who has been called a “modern-day J.P. Morgan.” Before its collapse, the outfit had grown into the third-largest crypto exchange in the world by volume.

All we can do now is laugh and wait... Don't hold your breath on this one happening however folks.
